Our Story
Inspired By Rescues!
Introducing the heart behind Pet-Comfort - meet Gypsy, our free-spirited German Shepherd, and Mufasa, our gentle giant Caucasian Shepherd! These two incredible souls are the inspiration behind our journey. We rescued our fur babies in hopes of bringing adventure and love back into their beautiful eyes! After adopting them, we decided to hit the road and show them all the breathtaking places Australia has to offer.
But traveling wasn't always easy. Mufasa struggled with car sickness, and Gypsy battled travel anxiety. Despite trying multiple seat covers, harnesses, and blankets, we realized they were simply uncomfortable and cramped in the backseat. That’s when our mission began—to create a product that would truly meet Gypsy and Mufasa’s needs.
The Backseat Extender
We knew our beloved dogs needed more room, better airflow, and a comfortable space to relax. After countless trials and refinements, we finally created the Backseat Extender—a seat cover with a solid base. Who knew? Not only did they appreciate the extra space, but Mufasa’s car sickness disappeared, and Gypsy’s anxiety eased dramatically!
How Does It Work?
We designed our backseat extender using cushioned foam, waterproof material, and a sturdy plywood base to extend the seats. This provided the comfort and space they needed to travel stress-free. Our innovative mesh window allows fresh air to circulate to the back, keeping them cool and comfortable throughout the ride.
For the first time, both dogs slept soundly the entire drive! This was a huge success, and we knew we had to share it with other pet parents. And so, Pet-Comfort was born.
Now, Mufasa and Gypsy eagerly anticipate every car ride—whether it’s for a pup cup, an adventure, or a relaxing Sunday drive, they can’t wait to go!
